VI SUIMA 2010 The José Antonio Echeverría Polytechnic University, Cujae, would like to invite the scientific and academic community to the XIV SCIENTIFIC CONVENTION ON ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE (CCIA 15) to be held from November 29th to December 3rd, 2010 in the International Conference Center placed in Havana City. Cuba.
The 15th CCIA includes events that have proved successful on previous occasions and new ones, and it covers the most important issues concerned with the scientific, technological, pedagogical and managerial development of engineering and architecture.
Among the events summoned by CCIA 15, VI SUIMA emphasizes in the most recent contributions in science and technology for the solution of the environmental current problems and in the current strategies to prevent future bigger dangers.
VI SUIMA favors a space for the invigoration in cooperation ways among institutions, and in particular among university and community specially committed entities with the environmental topic.
Among other activities in the 15 CCIA, students meeting will take place at our University, as well as a round table with the participation of the students.

Papers will be received after September 17th, but the Organizing Committee will not be committed whatsoever to include them in the proceedings of the event.
All authors will be notified in due time that their summaries and papers have been received. Those authors whose summaries and papers have been accepted will also receive notice of this.
Undergraduate and postgraduate students should present an official letter from their universities in order to confirm their condition.
Guidelines for the presentation of papers
Those interested in presenting papers in any of the events must send a summary in Spanish and English with a maximum of 500 words. The paper must have a maximum of ten pages, including tables, pictures and annexes.
Papers must be presented in Time New Roman 10, one-spaced lines with th following specifications:
All the pages except the first one must have 2,5 cm bottom and lateral margins. The papers` first page must have 5 cm upper margin.
The papers’ summary must contain neither references nor formulas. It must include the following pieces of information: title, authors, institution, event, theme, address, e-mail, telephone numbers, fax and key words (maximun 5) related to the main topic, everything on Time New Roman size 10.
Paper size is 8½” x 11” format (21,59 cm x 27,94 cm), summaries and papers must be made in Word Processor, Version 6.0 or a subsequent one.
